Best Paper Award at IEEE ICoICT 2025
Our paper “Optimised 3D-CNN for Real-Time Infrared Natural Gas Leak Classification: Balancing Accuracy and Computational Cost” won the Best Paper Award at the 13th International Conference on Information and Communication Technology (ICoICT 2025) in Bandung, Indonesia

The work was done with Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarawan Wongsa at KMUTT. It presents a 3D convolutional network that reaches 99.75% accuracy classifying methane leaks in infrared video, optimised through input-resolution scaling and quantization so it can run on edge hardware.
The award was announced by KMUTT’s Department of Control Systems and Instrumentation, and the paper is on IEEE Xplore.
